About Zenko

Zenko is a collective of experienced teachers and practitioners, and a community that has grown up around them.

More than a place to move, it's a place to connect. To yourself, and to the people beside you. Whether it's your first class or your thousandth, there's a place for you here.

Connection is at the heart of Zenko

Our mission is to bring yoga to as many people as we can. Zenko exists to create a genuine connection. Connection to ourselves and connection to others.

Through breath and movement we reconnect with ourselves. From connection comes healing. Through shared practice comes community. That community is the Zenko Tribe.

Where Zenko began

Zenko was founded by Lauren, and it began with an intention.

She wanted to create a safe space. Somewhere like-minded, conscious and aware people could feel safe enough to be vulnerable, and in that vulnerability, become their true selves and part of a genuine community.

Everything Zenko is today grew from that one idea.

Laurens's Story

A Legacy of Love

Lauren discovered yoga while running a PR agency in Melbourne. It awakened her soul and changed her path forever. She went from student to full-time teacher in just months, eventually opening multiple studios across Australia and launching A Live Yogi—the country’s first live online yoga platform.

As a speaker, teacher, and community leader, Lauren inspired thousands. Her mission was simple but powerful: for everyone to experience the life-changing benefits of yoga. For her, yoga wasn’t something you do—it was something you are. Like water, it becomes essential to life.

Lauren’s life was marked by authenticity, joy, and a deep sense of service. In 2022, shortly after giving birth to her daughter Lucinda, Lauren tragically passed away due to a rare complication. Her spirit lives on through her daughters, her husband Ryan, and the Zenko community she so lovingly built.

Her dream was to help every person uncover their purpose and live fully, courageously, and with heart. Zenko Yoga continues this mission—helping you connect with your true self, one breath at a time.
